I could use this book on the first day of school. Since Pete has cool red shoes I could let each student decorate a printable pair of red shoes to go along with the story. The guided reading level is K. I would use this book with second and third grade and possibly first.

I would read this book during snack time. I think it is the perfect cute little book to read during snack since its about a mouse eating cookies and milk.
